existing buildings from before 2001

a. Sharing Forms / Handouts between jurisdictions – Steven

i. 2019 Oregon Senate Bills
- Ted-
- House Bill 20-01- Cities allow cottages, duplexes,
multifamily dwellings in zones for SFD. –would overrule
zoning. - House Bill 22-06 – Determining the safety condition of
buildings and if they can be occupied. –who
regulates this? (in the works) - House Bill 23-06 – Jurisdictions Req to issue permits
based on the total% of improvements - House Bill 23-33- Allows to pay title of Park Models –
Park Models are not RVs. - House Bill 24-23 – Small Homes – 400sqft appendix in
ORSC - House Bill 29-16 – Expansion of transitional housing in
urban growth allowing other structures. - Senate Bill 8-98 – Increase the qualifications of
Building Officials (certifications required)
ii. Chris Huntington has left BCD and is now working for CCB
iii. Inspector/ Contractor Forum – CJ – Will have a forum in
September in Medford – voted & approved
VII. Open Discussion
a. Steven – Class in September – Potential classes, changes in
the IBC 2019 and Existing Buildings
