Trainers: Chris Wong, & Paul Vinje

Chris Wong, PE, SE, is a licensed civil and structural engineer in Oregon and California. He is currently a structural engineer for the City of Hillsboro Community Development Department. He is a member of the Structural Engineers Association of Oregon (SEAO) Structural Engineers Emergency Response (SEER) subcommittee, and has been active in assisting with the development of the Oregon Safety Assessment Program (OrSAP) building safety evaluator training.

Paul Vinje is the Chief Plans Examiner for the City of Hillsboro Building Department, with 20 years of plan review experience in Oregon. Prior to his work as a plans examiner, Paul spent 20 years in the construction industry delivering residential and light-commercial construction projects. Paul received the highest level of building code certification as a Master Code Professional in 2009. Paul has also been active in code development for many years and is currently filling the committee chair position for the OBOA Codes Committee.
